If you’re going to buy a Nokia Lumia 610 after it launches in Q2, you'll be able to enjoy an attribute that current Lumia 800 and Lumia 710 owners don’t have: Wi-Fi hotspot capability.

Nokia’s official website confirms that the 610 may be used “as a Wi-Fi Hotspot for about 5 Wi-Fi-enabled devices.” I must say i don’t realize why Nokia omitted this feature around the Lumia 800 and Lumia 710, because it can be really useful every now and then. Why not a future update will bring it to the two devices.

The Lumia 610 was announced a few weeks ago at MWC 2012 as Nokia’s cheapest Windows Phone handset. It's going to retail for €189 before taxes and subsidies, offering a 3.7 inch WVGA Gorilla Glass display, HSDPA, 5MP rear camera, 800MHz processor, 526MB of RAM, and 8GB of internal memory. Reportedly, Nokia expects to market no less than 4 million Lumia 610s for your beginning.

Just in case you’re wondering, the Lumia 900 (Nokia’s other WP device that’s gonna hit the market) may have Wi-Fi hotspot capabilities as is also.
